TNI recently announced they have updated the list of participants for the MSX fair in Bussum. The MSX marathon still needs to be confirmed, but by popular request it is the intention to have it last until the morning after all. So there will very likely be a real MSX marathon again this year!

A week ago, the annual MSX Info Update meeting in Finland was held. As of now, a photo shoot and short report on the event is available on the MSX Info Update website.
This Sunday MSX Club Groningen celebrate their first anniversary during their meeting in Wijkcentrum De Karre in Groningen. To celebrate this first anniversary entrance will be free, and there will be cake for the attending visitors.
Amusement Center have re-released the FM-7 version of T&E Soft's adventure game Planet Mephius in Project EGG. On MSX, the game was originally released in 1985.
In the 1990s Alex Wulms (Xelasoft) released Fastcopy, a popular disk duplication program which directly supported many MSX Floppy Disk Controllers making it - indeed - very fast and accurate.
MSXRio 2006 announced
The MSXRio crew have announced that this annual MSX event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is to be held on the 5th and 6th of August in the Colégio Cenecista Lemos Cunha. The fair has been added to our list of MSX fairs and meetings.
blueMSX Launcher 1.4
Just a few days after the release of blueMSX 2.5, Sam Elsharif has updated his blueMSX launcher with the following new features:
- Added support for Sunrise IDE and Hard Disks
- Added support for special rom type in slots 1 and 2 (to be used with disks that need SCC for example)
- Added tools menu and SHA1 calculator

Curse by Hackurl
The Japanese chiptune composer Hackurl has released yet another MSX flavored music remake. This time, he made an SCC version from one of the BGMs of the Sega Megadrive game Curse, originally released in 1989 by Mucrinet.
