MSX Info Update 2006
On Saturday July 8th, 2006 the next issue of the MSX Info Update party in Helsinki (Finland) is to be held. Doors are open from 14:00 till the time the last visitor decides to leave - which is at most Sunday evening. The location is the same as the previous edition: Laivalahdenkaari 16, 00810 Helsinki, Herttoniemi.
Konami Quiz 2 patch disk
Today Delta Soft released the patch disk for Konami Quiz 2. This patch disk fixes Dutch grammar errors.
PSPMSX 1.0.1
Ludovic Jacomme succesfully ported fMSX-SDL to the PSP. MSX, MSX2 and MSX2+ functionality is currently supported in the initial 1.0.1 release of this emulator. Note that -despite the version number- this is still a beta release and that some work is still pending. A next release is expected to support save-state functionality.
On December 3rd, 2005, the 28th MSX user meeting in Barcelona, organized by the Asociación Amigos del MSX, was held. Four active Dutch MSX users (Arjan Bakker, Marcel Delorme, Jorrith Schaap and Sjoerd Lammertsma) visited the meeting and took many pictures during their stay in Barcelona.
Penguin killer
Norakomi of RenovatiO, the developers of Space Manbow 2, has released Penguin Killer, a remake of the BGMs to Konami's popular MSX games
SymbOS for MSX - preview
Regular visitors of our active MSX forum could have followed it all from the start. On October 30th, 2005, in this forum thread, the first steps were taken that would lead to porting SymbOS to MSX.
After releasing the final version of Universe: Unknown, another bug was discovered in Infinite's impressive shooter. The mid restart-point in level 6 was placed in the middle of a wall. In the version released just now, this bug was fixed.
GEM 0.8 - MSX2+ fix
The MSX IPS patch archive was updated once again with a patch for TNI's impressive Gameboy Emulator GEM. The patch fixes a bug which caused corrupted output on MSX2+ computers.
Computer wars - English
mars2000you, MRC regular and webmaster of msxblue, has released an English version of Crappysoft's entry to MSXdev'04: Computer Wars. The manual to the game was translated as well. With this adaptation, the game now runs from DSK, allowing you to run the game in R800 mode as well.
