In April 2005, Karoshi Corporation launched a forum at ProBoards in order to receive gamers' feedback and to help new developers. It resulted in an active discussion board with many active users and developers, mostly from Spain.
Apology MSX - Update
Arturo Ragozini sent us an update of Apology MSX, a 6-channel PSG replayer. This new version includes an Excel sheet that can be used as a tracker.
Palette editor 1.2
BiFi has released a new version of Palette editior, a tool that allows you to change the palette of your MSX2 in order to make games that don't change the MSX palette (e.g. MSX1 games) different.
JDgames have released a remake of Hudson Soft's classic Stop the ITA express.
fmsxDS 0.05
Nyagosu has released a new version of fMSXDS, an MSX emulator for Nintendo DS.
Bombaman HQ moves
Bombaman HQ will be no longer accessible through www.bombaman.net, starting on the 27th of January 2006. In stead, the Bombaman HQ will be available through www.teambomba.net/bombaman/ from now on.
Team Bomba's g9klib has recently been updated to version 0.60. With this great library you can easily develop assembly programs for the GFX9000. In this new version support for RAM fonts was added.
The accompanying tool, bmp2g9b, which you can use to create the g9b files the g9klib uses, has also been updated.
The HispaMSX BBS has been upgraded last weekend with the following features:
- Improved BBS intro screen for ANSI terminal users. The new animated intro screen resembles the MSX2 boot up logo sequence.
MSX History was updated with a Portuguese translation of the manual of KING KONG 2, available in PDF format. A scan of the Japanese manual of KING KONG 2 is also avaliable.
Sir Fred remake
Danel Celemin (aka Lord Fred) has released a remake of Sir Fred, a Spanish MSX1 game from 1986. Sir Fred is considered to be one of the better classic Spanish games, and was released on other platforms as well.
