Active visitors of the MSX Resource Center already knew that Arturo Ragozini had found a way to enable VDP commands in SCREEN 4. During vblank, a switch to SCREEN 5 is made, enabling VDP commands.

Alex Wulms has released the MODplayer for MSX turboR which he released as Xelasoft in the mid 1990s. The player is capable of playing MODfiles in mono on PCM, but also can use the DAC of one (or even two) Philips Music Modules, resulting in stereo replay.

Sergey Bulba has updated PSGcomp, a utility which compares PSG music files dumped from MSX and ZX-Spectrum emulators. This new version improvements have been made to the comparison of amplitude registers. You can find PSGcomp in the programming section of Sergey's website
Tomorrow the third MSX user meeting of MSX Club Groningen will be held in Wijkcentrum de Karre, Groningen. During this meeting a quite rare piece of MSX equipment will be demonstrated: the ASCII Plus-X Terminator Laser gun. This gun can be used to control games on any MSX computer.
In February 2006, Scriton Digital Contents are to release a 9CD, 1DVD boxset crammed with game music. Two of the audio CDs will contain 100% pure MSX game music. Tracklists have not yet been announced.
