On June 19th, 2004, the HCC Commodore GG organized a retro computing event which attracted many visitors from a wide range of retrocomputing scenes. This year, another retro computing day will be held, organized by a group of people who really liked the 2004 edition.
A new version of the F1 Spirit remake has just been released. It's an updated version of the remake that ended at the 13th position of the 2004 Retro Remakes competition.
MSX Historia - Updates
MSX Historia has been updated once more and now has a total of 61 labels of Konami games. The newest labels include Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Parodius, King's Valley II (MSX1 and MSX2), Shalom and Nemesis III. All labels are in Gradiente catridge format.
On April 16th we started a new megapoll, in search of the most favorite MSX game character. Out of 162 nominees, 46 managed to get a place in the third round, of which you can now cast your votes right here. This round closes on May 26th, 23:59 CET. Happy voting!
KbMediaPlayer which supports OPX and, when using the MSXPlug plugin, KSS, BGM, MPK and MGS formats, has been updated to version 2.40 beta 5. This is the Japanese version. The English version has been updated to version 2.39.
This 3D game takes place three years after Castlevania III. This time you are Hector, a former Dracula student. New in this game: you will be able to create "good devils" that have different skills themselves, and will help you on your quests. There are 20 devils available and all can be leveled up. Game will be released in Q3.
Konami announced Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (CDoS) at last weeks E3. CDoS takes place one year after the happenings in Aria of Sorrow. In CDoS, cultists want to destroy Soma Cruz, who actually is Dracula. You need to stop these cultists to be able to revive Dracula yourself. The NDS version displays statistics and a map on the top screen, whilst the touch screen lets you draw seals.
