MadriSX 2005 - Reminder
This saturday the annual Spanish MSX meeting in Madrid, MadriSX, will be held. It looks like it's going to be a very crowded edition this year, as MSX Power Replay have teamed up with RetroMadriDC to create a larger, retro-oriented meeting.
MSXRio 2005 announced
On the unofficial MSXRio website the first information on the 2005 edition of this annual MSX user meeting in Brazil can be found. This year, the fair will be held on July 29th, 30th and 31st in the 'Sesc do Engenho de Dentro'.
A few hours ago the deadline to the MRC Airwaves Challenge passed. Just before this deadline we received an entry created by Inexpensive, a Swedish composer new to the MSX scene.
Boukichi released an mckc binary which allows you to compile MML files to KSS files on computers running Mac OS X.
We just added a new link to our ever growing section of links to MSX websites. The new Portuguese website Aleste Gaiden contains information on games and emulation, including maps and passwords to such games as Freddy Hardest and Barbarian.

IOMBCC entry 4: Hello World!
The fourth entry to the IOMBCC (International Obfuscated MSX-BASIC Code Contest) is none other than the classic example everybody who ever started to learn a programming language encountered: Hello World!!.
GXSCC is a MIDI player that allows you to play MIDI files with a wide range of SCC-style sounds. As of today, the GXSCC synthesizer is also available for KbMediaPlayer, a Japanese media player capable of running several file formats, including KSS using MSXPlug.
