SD-Snatcher is the best MSX game ever; new poll up

It was a very close call, but after the Best MSX1 game ever, the Best MSX2 game ever and the Most underrated MSX game megapolls we decided the 6 winners of those polls had to compete on a frontpage poll to sort out which MSX game is the very best

In the late nineties the first part of Umax's massive RPG Realms of Adventure was released. Right from the start it was the intention to release new parts of the RPG periodically, but unfortunately the second part of Realms of Adventure was never finished.

Snatcher-br is developing a Pascal library for MSX that can work with Shapes in Screen 5. The library can control animation frames, visibility (shape on/off), delete shapes. speed.

FM Tone Editor

Boukichi released an FM-Tone editor for OPLL (MSX-Music) and its compatible VCR7 (NES) soundchip. The tone editor also emulates these chips so that you can listen to the tones you are creating. The tones can be exported as MML instrument data.

Retro PC Game Music have updated their playlists with the soundtracks of two MSX games: Nemesis 1 (Gradius) and Dragon Slayer 4 (Draslefamily). Retro PC Game Music broadcasts video game songs from many platforms like MSX, X68000, PC-8801, PC-9801, X1 and FM77.

Eduardo Robsy Petrus re-released the rare MSX game Vampiro, published by Manhattan Transfer: a well known spanish press group that published two different MSX magazines: MSX CLUB and MSX EXTRA, that later got merged. The creator of the game, J.L.

Sunbug released a new version of their MSX emulator for PocketPC: PocketMSX.

Two months ago MSX Resource Center moved to a new server location, introducing several optimizations, new features and improvements. Today we have performed some more updates.

MNBIOS demo 2 - Changelog

Earlier this week flyguille released the second version of MNBIOS. At the time we could not report what changes had been made since the previous demo version. As the list of changes is quite impressive and important, we decided to dedicate another post to this promising new (not-backwards-compatible) BIOS for MSX.
