On July 18th we started the MRC Bounce Challenge. We have already received several entries to the challenge, which can be downloaded over here.
The Japanese compuser MAD has released yet another series of MSX related MP3 files. On his website you can now found re-arranged songs from Level 4 or Gradius 2, the Space Manbow battle theme and two Twinbee songs.

Mark 2 is an active MSX developer well known from games like Moscow 2024, Ark-a-Noah and Don't cock it up. Recently, Mark 2 returned to MSX thanks to the MSXDev'04 competition with two entries: Seleniak and Sink King.
SDCC port for MSXDOS
As a complement to the patch for the compiler SDCC, which generates ROM files for MSX (published by Boukichi on www.emucamp.com/boukichi/cbios.htm), a new patch was developed for this cross-compiler that generates MSX-DOS compatible .COM files.
VScreen 0.9a
Maggoo has released a new version of his fantastic MSX Platform game engine VScreen.
After demonstrating them at MSXRio 2004. SLotman of MSX files has now released 5 new MSX games at the same time. Four of these games are ports of Sega SG-1000 games.
After releasing a new version of the English translation of Illusion City, Adriano da Cunha released a new version of the Portuguese translation of Illusion City as well. The changelog of this new version is the same as the one for the English version listed here.
The biggest MSX fair in Europe is only a few days away! Of course, if you're a die-hard MSX-er, you have the date 9th of october 2004 written on your forehead for quite some months now. For the record, this newspost isn't meant for you.
