MSXdev'04 is a mini-game development competition to promote new games for the first generation of MSX computers. MSXKun, leader of PAXANGA SOFTWARE, has submitted his entry to MSXdev'04. It is called 'Eat Blue!
Just a few weeks ago, we added a link to the MAD Music Studio. On this website you can find a large collection of often MSX inspired tunes. The composer obviously likes chiptunes and at the moment, he is very active adding many songs to his database.
MSX Review have added a walkthrough of the Konami game Shalom to the Miscellaneous section of their website. The walkthrough is written in Spanish and contains useful maps of the game.

Julio Marchi of msxall has started an MSX chat channel on his own IRC server, after the afternet network (on which the popular Brazilian MSX channel was located) had been down for several days. The new IRC server is intended to be used solely for the MSX channel. MSX users from all over the world are invited to have a look and test the channel.
InterNestor Lite 0.4
Nestor Soriano released a new version of InterNestor Lite, his toolkit which allows you to connect your MSX running MSX-DOS to the internet. Furthermore, InterNestor lite allows you to code your own internet applications.
MSXRio 2004 postponed
We recenlty announced the 2004 edition of MSXRio 2004 would be held on the 30th and 31st of July this year. However, due to several circumstances, the fair was postponed to the 27th, 28th and 29th of August.
5 years of MSXFiles
The Brazilian MSX community website MSXfiles celebrates it s 5th anniversary.
After translating the Gradius 2 introdemo to Portuguese, Ricardo Bittencourt has also translated the manual of this marvellous Konami game, also known as Nemesis 2, to Portuguese. As recently was discovered in this forum thread, the 17 year old game still harvests some secrets for us.

A new version fMSX/S60 has just been released. Shortly after the release of fMSX/60 1.02a/b a bug in the State Saving routines was found and reported in the Symbian Emulator forum-thread.
MSX NBNO fair canceled?

MSX NBNO sent some sad news to the MSX Mailinglist today. They have announced that the two persons who were responsible for organizing the MSX NBNO fairs, held in Oss in January of each year, have decided not to organize new fairs in the future. This means that the annual MSX fairs in Oss will probably not be held anymore.
