Daniel Caetano has released an Z80 disassembler for PC, which adds several comments about MSX hardware, making it most suitable for disassembling MSX code. You can find the tool on his website, which contains more interesting MSX software titles.
MNBIOS - status update
In the coming weeks the first useable version of MNBIOS will most likely be released. Working towards that release, the developer has fixed several bugs and made several improvements to this new non-compatible BIOS for MSX.
Team Bomba have just opened a new website, dedicated to their current and future activities. After finishing Bombaman, the development team decided to develop more MSX games in the future.
With the demise of the MCWF website, the activities of this Dutch MSX Club became less visible for their (potential) audience. Their frontman, Bas Kornalijnslijper, had to create a new website where he can expose his MSX activities, such as collecting MSX hard- and software and, probably even more interesting, being a semi professional MSX hard- and software supplier- and repairer.
Sunrise have opened up a freeware section on their website. The first products to be added to this section are Blue Warrior and Match Maniac.
Today, ASCII stopped the possibility to pre-order both the MSX Game Reader and the limited edition 20th anniversary MSXPC. The sample version(s) of MSX Game Reader have been tested and approved, and are now in production.
Banny House
Andrea Gasparrini released a new MSX game today: Banny House, a vertical-scrolling platform game. In 30 levels you have to try and reach the top of each level, collecting all special items and avoiding (or killing) your enemies. The price of the game is set to 10 euro's.
On December 26th we started a mega-poll on our website, in search of what our visitors thought of as the most important MSX news of 2003. After the nominations, and a pre-selection tournament in our forums the remaining 4 newsposts ended up in a frontpage poll, which started on January 16th.
The relatively new and increasingly popular MSX emulator blueMSX was released in a Portuguese version. Now you can enjoy emulating MSX games in a Portuguese user-interface.
SCSIcide for MSX
A new MSX game by Slotman was released today, and you can download it for free. It's an MSX port of the Atari game SCSIcide, adding several interesting extra's. The idea behind the game is very original, as you get to play a 'harddisk controller'.
