LHA-PMA for Win32
MSX Banzai! was updated today with a Win32 port of the LHA-PMA program, allowing Windows users to decompress PMA archives without using a clumsy CP/M emulator.
Additionally, an update was made to the GFX9000 Programmers Manual, clarifying the format for 16 and 8 bit RGB values.
We are very pleased to see our downloads database is doing so well. In our most recent downloads top 10 we could already see that especially rare and new software titles can count on many downloads. More than enough reason to add several new titles for you all to enjoy.
Spanish MSX Forum opened
Two weeks ago we opened up the Spanish MSX Resource Center. One of the questions we received the most was 'Where is the Spanish forum?'. Well... here it is!. Over here people can discuss MSX related topics in Spanish.
In_npsg 0.7.0.6
In_npsg is a plugin for Winamp 2.xx which makes it possible to play PSG songs from MSX and ZX-Spectrum dumped by emulators in the fMSX-format. The MAME AY core is used for decent sound quality. By using three separate streams it's even possible to listen to the songs in (pseudo) stereo.
Yesterday we announced there will be a new ASCII MSX Festival during the MSX DenYu Land event. Today, the organization of DenYu land have updated their website. Currently, one can only browse the frontpage. If you want more information or give your opinion (both in Japanese, of course) you can join a special DenYu Land mailinglist.
MSX VDP in FPGA
On the 30th November ASCII and MSX Association will be hosting one of the most popular MSX Fairs in the world: MSX DenYu Land.
It's the first of the month again so about time to have a look at which files have been downloaded the most from our downloads database until now. Once again, the statistics show people are really eager for new MSX software. No matter if it are small or long demo's, games or applications, people download them a lot.
