In our search for the best MSX game song ever we are very close to selecting which SCC songs are going to compete against 2 PSG and 2 MSX-Music songs in the frontpage in the near future. There's two more rounds of SCC-voting to go and SD-Snatcher and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake have left all the competition far behind. It's up to you to decide which 4 songs will move on to the next and final round.
MSX Music remakes on J-War
J-War is the website of a french music composer. In the Remakes JV section of his website several remakes of MSX game songs can be found in the Divers section.
Puyo Puyo Fever
A lot of MSX users spent hours playing the popular Compile game Puyo Puyo, a puzzle game with some similarities to Tetris.
We reported before about the development of a Dosbox Roland MT-32 emulator which could be used to listen to the amazing MIDI-soundtracks of MSX games like IllusionCity. After some more improvements to its emulation (it sounds near perfect now) the developers decided to make a Windows 98/2000/XP driver out of it.
