Today we added a new title to our downloads database. The MSX 20th anniversary demo was created by Olivier Hustin, also known as Maggoo from IOD and Abbyss. This demo celebrates the 20th anniversary of our beloved MSX system with some nice and well-thought effects.

MRC members who subscribed to our newsletter should just have received the latest edition of the MSX Resource Center newsletter.

In this edition we had - as usual - some news exclusive to the faithful readers of our newsletter and an overview of the most important news posts since our latest newsletter.

On gamers.com an interview with Michiru Yamane can be found. She is one of the chiptune composers of Konami. When asked which soundtrack she likes the most she replies "That's a tough question. Yes, it's probably for Twinbee, for me too.

From MarMSX comes another graphical tool called Color Magic. This tool allows you to change colours in images, improving their image quality. You can find this tool in the MSX Viewer-section of the MarMSX website.

A new version of MSX-Viewer, a tool that can show and convert MSX image files for SCREEN 2, 5, 7, 8 and 12 on PC was released. Changes since version 3.0

  • Fixed a bug asving images in SCREEN 8 and 12
  • 16 MSX colours bug fix
  • Correction of F.G. menu
  • English translation option

This summer, Digicube will release a new edition of Falcom's YS I & II Eternal story, the modern remakes of two games that are known on MSX as Ancient YS vanished Omen and Ancient YS vanished - the final chapter. (YS1 and YS2).

A new version of the SDCC compiler for MSX was released today. SDCC is an opensource C-compiler for Small Devices. The version Boukichi created compiles C-sources into code that works in an MSX ROM cartridge (.ROM files). It is not yet clear which the changes are since the previous version
