RPG Engine for MSX
Today we found out on the #MSXDEV chat channel on irc.aniverse.com that k0ga (Roberto Vargas) is working on a new RPG Engine for MSX. He's put a demo online which looks really stunning! If you want to have a look at the basics of a new RPG, download this file and have a look yourself.
In our busy MSX forum we started a contest where people can vote for the best MSX1 game ever. Because there are many MSX1 games, several rounds of voting will be held. But, it all starts with nominations. Right here you can read an explanation on how the contest works and send in your nominations.
SD-Snatcher maps
We added a new website to our links database. Ramon Verlinden started creating a website about SD-Snatcher. On his website you can find maps of the game (created with screenshots). In the future, there will be more maps, information on the characters and metal creatures in the game and information about the weapons.
Of course, when we put the 'SD Snather vs. Solid Snake'-poll online, we avoided the question which of these 2 games is the best MSX game there has ever been. There are always people who think the YS-series are better. Or the Xak-trilogy for that matter.
C-BIOS 0.16
Boukichi released a new version of C-BIOS, which will probably be the final release of this MSX-compatible BIOS. C-BIOS allows you to run MSX software on an MSX emulator, without using ripped, illegal MSX system ROMs. In this new version, the sound test functionality was removed.

Sample CD for moonsound
At the moment, Wolf is working on a sample cd for moonsound users, to be sold at the MSX fair in Tilburg 2003.
It won't contain burps, cartoon noises, etc. But will contain:

MCWF website updated
Just recently, the MCWF organized another of their famous MSX meetings. The day itself was a success. There were many visitors, a nice game competition and a lot of easter eggs.
At the moment, MCWF is restyling their website. It's a continuous project, but it is worth to take a look at their site every now and then. Today, they added some nice pictures from the last meeting.
