Slime Slayer

Slime Slayer is a JRPG made in BASIC for MSX1 and higher, distributed in cassette format. In the game you are an explorer searching for your lost luggage that ends up in the town of Rattatta, which is haunted by monsters.

Oops, sorry about that! I re-uploaded the file, please try again.

I ran the game succesfully on an emulated Sony HB-F1XDJ in OpenMSX. Before you run the game, make sure that the CAPS and KANA (right alt) leds in OpenMSX are on. Somehow my OpenMSX didn't allow me to enable the KANA led when CAPS was active, so I activated KANA first and then CAPS Tongue

I cant load the game in Turbo R. The file for load game is rateng.cas? I use loadcas from Martos, disable R800 and activate CAPS and KANA.

PLEASE LOCK CAPS & UNLOCK CODE KEY BEFORE EXECUTION.

The load file is indeed rateng.cas.

About the "PLEASE LOCK CAPS & UNLOCK CODE KEY BEFORE EXECUTION." message: make sure that the CAPS and KANA leds are ON before you run the game. I also added that to the readme Wink

I dont understand, i make CAPS and KANA on before run the game with bload"rateng",r but only appear this message and not run the game.

I never used cassettes before this one, but I got it working by doing this:

  • I used a Sony HB-F1XDJ on OpenMSX
  • Loaded the cassette (cassetteplayer rateng.cas in the console)
  • cload"rateng
  • Enable CAPS and KANA
  • RUN!

Don't you have the 'autoruncassettes' feature enabled? Then it will run automatically.

A turboR doesn't have a cassetteport, so you can't try it on a turboR Tongue

 I load the game!!!!
* Disable R800
* Load with LOADCAS from Martos
* Enable CAPS and RUN!

@Manuel: With the program trcas.bin i can use cassete, and connect cassete in the microphone (minijack) port. Or load some wavs with the mobile.
