i have managed to connect the scart from a nms8250 to a acer vga display, but the acer detects 640x200 at 50hz, any way to let the acer detect the right output of the nms?

AFAIK, your acer is probably a PC dedicated screen, and thus running at a 31KHz horizontal frequency, which is incompatible with an MSX output. The video output of those old computers were tuned for use on a regular TV or an old school monitor, both running at a 15KHz horizontal frequency.

try from basic the command
set adjust (X,Y)
where X and Y are the offset you want

It could help in moving the screen right up to 15 pixels

There's nothing you can do to improve the situation ...
You cannot change the video output of the MSX, and you cannot change the detection of the ACER !!

The only way is to process the video output of the MSX thru a VGA box.

The screen looks very fine to me. The proportion is right, and the screen is just a bit shifted to the left. Probably the monitor is doing the right thing, but the firmware don't have a screen to identify the mode correctly.

Don't your monitor have the "Auto" button, that adjusts the heigh/width of the image automatically? Sometimes it's a menu option, check its manual. If it don't have the "Auto" option, just open the monitor menu and adjust the image settings manually.

I'm curious: Does your monitor works fine with 60Hz games too?

I usually hit my commodore 1084 pretty hard and it starts working. But I only used my hands, no crowbars or sledgehammers.
