I've been auctioning many MSX items lately and I was a bit tired of eBay and wanted an easy and quick auction system, so I've coded it by myself. It's totally ugly but functional, I just wanted to know if you like it and if you have any suggestions. My goal is to keep it as simple as possible.
Check it at http://www.retroauction.me
And of course, you can also register and bid for the MSX items being auctioned right now ;D
My idea is to open it to other people as soon as I finish the sale, just in case that anyone is interested. Just mail me!
8 users so far! Everything seems to work as intended.
I have to share it with you: this tiny project has reached 174 hits in just one day and there are now 8 registered users. I'm feeling almost as Mr. Zuckenberg does. Almost.
too bad you sold a lot of your MSX stuff on ebay...this would've saved everyone the ebay&paypal costs
But regardless, it's very nice ...
Indeed. I'll use the current version for selling the current listing, 24 non-Konami loose cartridges. After that, I'll upload a more complete version for auctioning my last +30 Konami loose cartridges.
By the way, two warnings about the current version:
- If you are overbid, you won't get any e-mail - so keep checking it until each auction ends
- If you want to check if you are winning an item or not, just type your e-mail and password with no biddings and you'll get the info.
These two details will be fixed in the next release.
Thank you for your comments.
Ok. Done some dirty work and now there's an automated e-mail if someone overbids you on any item.
Seems to work as intended
email on overbid work Ok.
Thank you for the confirmation.
What about a mail to notice when you upload new stuff?
Sorry if it's already done
Also surprised about the high prices people are bidding (well for most games except Golvellius). Makes me feel like a really rich man.
