Well, just add a "FORUM" section @ msxblue.
They'll end up banning me sooner or later. I'll be the gaddafi! The icon of a revamped MRC moderation era, with Slotman arising as their new South American "Pelotas" leader...
...and I need a forum to launch my new "improved" roms, just like SD Snatcher.
I don't think it will have much success. But I understand your request : if the MSX community is really divided into 2 parts with radically different visions about MSX and his future, then each part should have his own space, eventually with a private section.
I need to think about that. One thing is sure : we'll not take here a decision !

Muffie - for the love of god. Stop trolling. You just returned from a 1 month ban, you know perfectly well that your next ban is going to last a full year. You and I both know you created your account for trolling and trolling alone, so do yourself and us a favor and stop using it. With or without some help from the MRC crew, your choice.
Mars - Good to see that after at least three chances to say something about how you feel now that Kralizec has left the MSX scene, you said nothing about it. The MSX community now knows exactly where you stand.
snout could you stop jumping around on mars's toes? it'll only make the dramaparty last longer
We all know that the guy is stubborn and stays with his own opinions even if a majority, including me, disagrees with it. He's removed the cheat/crack and that should be good enough, Kralizec even said they don't need an apology. IMO the main person to blame in the Goonies situation is the one that started distributing the rom dump.
Maybe we could even host a MSXDEV competition that will include MSX2. If you do that, I'm also offering a MSX Hotbit as a prize.
A Hotbit ? Are you serious ? It should be a decent MSX2 not a crappy brazilian msx1 hardware
It should be a contest that allows ports with ripped graphics. That would be nice
hap - point taken, I'll continue my flood'o-news then, shall I?
snout, I am not trolling. Seriously. I think that the MSX scene is really divided in two. To tell you the truth, from the deep of my heart I believe that you, hap, John (and even Wolf) are NOT on the drama part. Specially John and hap (which I know a little bit more than the others) looks/seems like perfectly reasonable people who will never drop a hobby just because someone is cracking/hacking/trolling. A hobby is a hobby (period). You don't expect anything in return.
Anyone who's dropping using that as a justification would be dropping anyway. Some facts based on my (and only my) opinion:
1) # of newly created stuff will drop year after year. There's nothing we can do against it: NOTHING. We might have some "bubbles", but that's all. Average is going down.
2) Community will still exist, because we're people with something in common. Even if no one creates nothing new, we'll be here anyway discussing about MSX and/or other stuff
3) Community will die with us. My kids , sometimes play with some MSX game, but... Believe me: When we're dead, they'll most probably don't even remember MSX.
Feel free to ban me for good if you think the above can be categorized as trolling.
Muffie - the above post is certainly not a troll, but I don't agree that the MSX scene is divided in two. Like any other community we don't agree on everything, but that doesn't necessarily mean a division. There are some people, however, who are actively trying to create a division - or at least try to create the illusion there is one. Some people are only active in forum topics where heated discussions can be found (or started). I wonder what there is to gain for them.
I even agree that, sooner or later, hopefully decades and decades from now, the MSX community will probably fade away. All members of the MSX community do have a choice though. Do you want to help out and create some 'bubbles', or do you want to create conflict and speed up the process?
As soon as I get "FU MONEY" and I'm able to buy some of my personal childhood dreams, I'll be back to the community creating games, apps and even cracking/hacking stuff. Meanwhile I just enjoy to chat with *some* of you guys out there.
