Any idea if there's some extra-lag introduced with that xRGB mini ?

I heard on Youtube that it's very low latency though no specific numbers. I tend to believe it since it was especially designed for 240p retro gaming afaik and doesn't do deinterlacing etc.

Yes... AFAIK there is unfortunately a full frame delay.

@Louthrax
Yes, there is lag but minimal; it's the fastest scaler around as far as I kno. As Grauw states it's specifically created for retro gaming where lag is essential (according to die hard gamers). I read somewhere there might be a 1 frame lag which is not much right? I myself don't notice any lag in practice.

I agree ... XRGB is great ... but it is expensive.

I have asked before in our forum and so many people suggested XRGB and I purchased it from amazon .. around USD 330 and it works perfectly with turbo R GT.

Later, I purchased a SCART to HDMI converter from amazon ... which cost me USD 30 (Thirty Only) and it works perfectly. Link: http://www.amazon.co.uk/SCART-HDMI-converter-convert-connect...

I don't know if this what you need ... but I am sure if you connect turbo R GT SCART cable with this converter with the HDMI in your LED TV you will be amazed ... with only USD 30.

If you are talking about connecting turbo R GT with CRT monitor .... this thing made me crazy ... because in my situation the monitor ... has a VGA-male (out) and turbo R GT has a SCART (out) .. so you need to buy a converter that connect both with consideration that some converters might has issues with sound. Finally ... this has been solved with a converter costs USD 35 only and I couldn't find it in amazon now to give you the link.

Conclusion... XRGB is the best .. no doubt .. but may be if you have other Retro Consoles as -Neo- mentioned.

I wish you found what you are looking for.

Sniper

I have high hopes that this year there will be an upscaler that will finally beat xRGB mini in quality and push the delay more close to 1 line than 1 frame, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to give more details yet. I've seen an prototype and it seems to work great with the retrogaming hardware I have. (including MSX)

@NYYRIKKI

Nice to read that!

Would it also be possible to add support for 3D-alternating-images mode of the Sega Master System? Plz? Big smile

This would also save other hardware that use the same kind of 3D glasses, like those 3D LDs from Pioneer.
