Something that called my attention when I saw "The Avengers" movie... At the Galaga scene, is the guy playing the MSX version of Galaga? Diferrent from the original arcade game, the version of Galaga he plays has monochrome sprites.

Did anyone notice that?

Definitely it's the MSX version.

(but I didn't watch the movie)

Someone told me it could also be the SG-1000 or Coleco version. Quite possible, since it's an American movie.

I noticed the guy playing Galaga and posted about it 1 year ago at "Zona de pruebas"
But I didn't noticed it was the MSX version.

I checked the SG-1000 and the score area is different.
Is there a Coleco version of the game? (Not the one ported from SG-1000)

I was sure it was the MSX version as well.

Also, note that "NAMCO" is misspelled in the credits - at least it was in the US theatre version that I attended. It may have been fixed in subsequent releases.

[dwangoAC] Quibus: That's interesting - you can't see the starfield in the background, but there is a medal...
[dwangoAC] Heh - I have to go look at my own versions to figure this out Smile
[dwangoAC] Quibus: After looking at the various versions I believe that it is indeed the MSX version

@Manuel: In the HD version you can see the starfield.

[dwangoAC] Quibus: I compared SG-1000, Atari 7800, and MSX (it's clearly not 2600)

I've played other versions, including NES and Arcade. It's none of those - the MSX version is fairly distinctive.

In the blu-ray deleted scenes, Mark Ruffalo asks Scarlett Johanson if they got a Commodore 64 on his lab...

Weird, it's undoubtely the MSX version (compare here for example); but it's not the SFX from original MSX Galaga... oO
