Which MSX2 are you emulating?

That should be sufficient. But it sounds as though you have the .dsk file on a virtual disk which you are mounting, while you should just mount the .dsk file itself. Smile

As Meits said, there can never be a runnable MSX file named "moonblaster-1.4". MSX filenames are 11 characters maximum length. Apart from that, you can't RUN .dsk files; the .dsk file is the medium that should contain the files. Just like you can't burn an .iso file to a CD and then play it in your CD player.

Simply extract the .dsk file from the .zip and open that one in blueMSX.

Wowzers. Ok. So then how do I extract the dsk file?

You should not extract the DSK. The DSK is the actual disk which you have to mount into the emulator you use.
Haven't seen blueMSX for quite a while, but there should be some disk/cartridge power/reset buttons in the GUI around the actual MSX screen. Find the disk drive A: a button, click it and browse for the DSK file. Then power-up or reset the emulator by pressing the reset/bower button in the GUI around the MSX screen.

Maybe someone should make an explaining movie for saibot216 if he fails to boot it after this info, or make some screenshot based tutorial...

Download and install WinZip or WinRAR, then use one of those to open the .zip file (just doubleclick it). Then 'drag' the .dsk file out of the archive into the folder where you want it.

Ok, THAT helped. I was attempting to load the DSK in a different manner that I guess was incorrect. Thank you very much!

So, what exactly were you trying to do? (I ask this, so that we may be able to help someone with this faster next time!)

I went to File > Disk Drive A > Insert and mounted the dsk image.
