Wav files can't be loaded in blueMSX, only cas files.

All is explained in the manual :

http://www.msxblue.com/manual/runningcas.htm

http://www.msxblue.com/manual/casfaq.htm

http://www.msxblue.com/manual/casmenu.htm

http://www.msxblue.com/manual/bluedeckusage.htm

.wav must be converted first to .cas, heres a utility for windows to convert the .wav:
http://vik.cc/dvik-joyrex/tools.html

Download the Win32 Binaries for Castools, and put .wav and contents of castools into a new folder, and open a CMD (textmode) console, and execute:
wav2cas -np game.wav game.cas

now, if everything works out, you will be left with a game.cas :)

best regards,
- dink

OR create a shortcut to wav2cas, rightclick on the shortcut, select Properties, add -np game.wav game.cas in the Goal window, click Apply and OK then double-click on the shortcut !

This way, the shortcut can always be used for another game (just the name of the game needs to be changed twice) and no any chance to become angry with the CMD console Hannibal

Device I/O error means that you have forgotten to rewind the tape or that you try to run a CAS file in a TurboR machine (it's impossible as TurboR does not have a tape port).
