So, I think that patching the P-ROM or the game itself, a DVD version can be done.
Maybe a custom command set for DVD has to be included (different brands, different models and equipment IDs ...).
I hope that the code in the game calls some routines in the P-ROM to communicate with LD player.
If so, then a patched ROM can be used to control different equipment, such as DVDs, Blurays, another computer or a Raspberry ...
By the way, Have the programs in the discs been dumped ?
It would be interesting to have them for study ...
They are mostly (completely?) written in P-BASIC. Run them in openMSX and execute the listing command.

I guess that the graphics are dumped just before the game starts while the loading video finishes.
