Fuzix on MegaFlashRom would be very very interesting. Please go for it. I know some new MegaFlashRom can have a lot of RAM beyond ROM and mass storage with SDcard, and mapper and SCC+. That would be a very powerfull Z80 box, as Alan like to say.

The good news is that a generic spi (sd card) driver has been contributed,
which means that we can probably have megaflashrom support in a very short time.

I am working on it already.

right,
anybody knows if any technical documentation about the megaflashrom and the sd interface is available?

I can figure it out from the code, but it would be better having the info.
please correct me if I am wrong before I start tinkering:
- megaflashrom sd uses an ascii 8k mapper
- the sd ports are mapped in page 0x40
- spi port is 0x4000
- card select in in 0x5800
- what is 0x5000?

- 0x6000 disables (write 0)/enables (write 0x40) SD card
- spi port is mirrored over the whole first 512 bytes starting at 0x4000
- 0x5000 is something for preparing a reset; you should read 10x from 0x5000 before you do a reset; not sure what's it exactly...

@manuel, thanks

do you know if line 243 correct? it looks like a typo.

#4000-#57FF: SD card access (R/W)
--> #4000-#4FFF: /CS signal = 0 - SD enabled
#5000-#5FFF: /CS signal = 1 - SD disabled

What is a typo exactly?

AFAIK all this info is correct. I got it directly from Manuel Pazos.

typo: typographic error.

I am struggling a bit with the megaflashrom extension for msx. it doesn't show the subslots.
I think the xml I have is outdated, but is the one in the source tree 0.11.0.

(I cannot attach the xml here because is not displayed properly)

does anybody have the right one with the subslot configuration? or a hint on how to do it.

if I have to test in real hardware it will be much more painful.

I have put the source of fastcopy on github but it seems like I forgot to post the link in the discussion on google plus. Have done that now.
