I have an FS-A1 and a FS-A1GT. When using the framemeister, the image and volume loudness is perfect on the FS-A1, whilst on the FS-A1GT, the volume is lower and the graphics is glitching on the Framemeister image. I tried different sync levels, and sync auto without any difference.
There's like white pixels appearing randomly every now and then, and also the whole image flickers sometimes kinda.
I tried two different video cables. Maybe I need a special for the FS-A1GT compared to the FS-A1?

seems it was overheating... dunno why. cuz I'm using same stepdown converter as I use on my FS-A1. gonna check every single cap in it... but they seemed fine in my eyes.

Good you found it. Otherwise it might have been because the composite SYNC signal is also on the RGB (SCART) with the GT and not on the other MSX.

well it's probably still true what you are saying. any tip on how to get the framemeister to accept the signal better?
the overheating problem might be something else.

My other thought is caps, indeed. But I’m no electronics expert.

I don't know how I would use the sync strike with the framemeister tho.

About frames: I think almost all Up scaler (Video composite/S-Video/RGB to VGA/HDMI) skips more or less frames.
A TV with S-Video or RGB input if possible is the best choice.

AFAIK framemeister may cause 20ms delay, but should not cause any frame skipping... Your statement is naturally true for CRT TV's, but if you want to use flat panel TV, framemeister is generally 100x better than any modern TV's crappy build in scaler... It's just a bit expensive solution as you could buy quite a many A1-FS with a price of that scaler. Smile

I don't know for the Framemeister but the upscalers that I tried (4~5) seem to skip some frames. I feel that with the action games when the sprites blink. I've never seen it with a TV.

the problem is not skipped frames... it is sync issue.
but the real issue is probably the caps having done their days. I will recap it, and also replace PSU with the 230V one. Wish me luck, cuz I'll need it.

There's a 22" Samsung smartTV connected to my MSX. I know, it has a far superior processor to the computer it's dedicated to, but that's the funny shock detail for the ignorant visitors Big smile.
It does its your very well.
Just vertical lines of one pixel wide in sc7 are off color in some situations
It tries to smoothen things. That's unnoticed in games and static screens. But the line above the moving bar in Moonblaster moves a bit when the bar has passed Smile

I wonder what would be 100x better than this solution as this is already more than I expected
