Hello guys,
I'm a new user here. I'm not that experienced with MSX. I'm an italian laserdisc game collector. I collect laserdisc arcade games but I also own a japanese Pioneer Palcom MSX with all the laserdisc games. I need the help of you MSX gurus here. A friend of mine bought a japanese MSX Victor HC-95 without keyboard. Without keyboard, we cannot use it.
Can you help us in finding one ? Do you know if there's one for sale somewhere ?
Can you adapt another keyboard to work with the HC-95 ?
We are trying to put together a MSX+VHD system to run MSX VHD games. We already got a couple of games working (Star Arthur Legend - Planet Mephius and Birdie try), but we need this keyboard to do more testing with this model of Victor MSX. Many thanks in advance for any help.

Padial does a PS2 (ibm) keyboard adaptor for MSX, it uses an empty cartridge slot, and allows you to use a PS2 keyboard with your MSX.

You might be able to find a copy of the HC95 service manual, and rewire another MSX keyboard, although I do not know where you might find one.

Hello djh1697,
thanks for replying. How do I get in touch with Padial ? I can't find him on the contact list...
If anyone has a copy of the HC-95 service manual or any info about the keyboard connector, please let me know. I would be also interested in buying the kayboard adaptor made by Padial, can anyone please tell me where to get it ? Many thanks for your help.

Now that I've seen the HC-95 yesterday, I'm really wondering if someone has a technical or service manual of this beast. There's a scan of the memory map online here: http://usbsecretbase.michikusa.jp/hc-95/index.html

But that's all I've seen of it on the net... Someone?

Padial's site --> http://msx.deneb.nl/ (Spanish language)
I don't have experience with this hardware so if someone could provide more info maybe better...

Manuel : I think PAC refers to the original question of this thread.

This page could help to find a keyboard for the HC-95 :

msx.deneb.nl/page4.HTM

(no link as anti-CAPTCHA measure - CAPTCHA must be limited to non-logged users, at least, it's my philosophy)

At presence of the information about conformity of signals on the plug of connection of the keyboard to this model of the computer, it is possible to make the controller for connection to it PS/2 of the keyboard instead of native.
By that for connection of the native keyboard 20 contact plugs such as IDC-20 are used, on it should be joined:
4 address lines - Ya, Yb, Yc, Yd;
8 lines of the data - X0.. X7;
2 lines of indication - CAPS, KANA;
2 lines of a feed - +5V, GND.
If there will be an information on conformity of these signals to contacts IDC-20, the controller can be made for example on ATMega48.
