is that the game which had some drawing in msx magazine of a guy sleepwalking with eggs all over him ?
I would put fruity frank in, it was quite addicting but with odd graphics

I think so, SvL was a regular back then when it came to gamelistings, my bet -without checking tho- is on SvL..

I enjoyed "Astro Plumber" and "Lonesome Tank (which also has a cool/obscure/fun name)" a lot.

I could be playing "Pyramid warp" and "Driller tanks" for hours...., also I find very addictive "Pretty sheep" Smile

but it isn't exactly a technical marvel either

Hey!, it's BASIC after all! Wink. Thanks Sonic! Smile

Steven van Loef wrote Jake in the Caves indeed; published in MCM 14 or so. This was the very first MCM my dad got, after buying the VG 8020. It was also the first game listing he (tried to) type(d) over. Well worth the typing Smile Unfortunately it contained a few annoying bugs, although they might originate from the bad typing work, I forgot that :S

One of the most annoying bugs was that it would fry the disk you saved (or didn't save) the game to, when the MSX was not [CTRL]-booted Sad Needless to say that I typed it in, gave it a try and it crashed the disk. Never lookad it that frigging piece of shit again.

In the category listings worth typing in, I list: H.A.L (MSX Comp Mag #17) and Galf (MSX Club Mag 22)

..maybe it'd be nice to make a basic listing section on mrc where these old listings can be placed. I remember several old basic games ... midget golf (allthough we had an alternate version where the strength of the hit varied so that you could smash the ball out of the golfcourt), schattenduiken, kitchen chaos....
