Oooooh, Disc Warrior! Now there's some nostalgia... Big smile

An "obscure" game that I like a lot: Sa-Zi-Ri.

I can´t be the only person on the world who likes that game, eh? Smile

there are two weird games I played until solving:

Happy Fret - one of best and obscure MSX platform games

Sorcery - a great MSX porting from other systems - very hard to play

I DARE YOU to solve these Smile

Sorcery was the game that played usually to rest after playing "Disc Warrior" Wink
It's very doable when you learn the object locations and the use of each one. Very rewarding to see the fountain at the end with all the little blue wizards dancing Big smile

I kind of liked Chuckie egg, great woodlike noise when Chuckie moved around.

no pic, but mentioned on http://www.generation-msx.nl/msxdb/softwareinfo/2660
from the tape-age, but I also should have it on disk *.com somewhere...

Me and my sister played Chuckie Egg a lot when we were kids. When The first thing she wanted to see when I showed her the emulator was this game.

for me an Ugly and obscure game that i love will be Elidon
actually the game play sucked big time and was not interesting at all.
but when i was a little kid for some reason the atmosphere of the game freaked me out lol.
the depressing classical music piece thats playing on the background
the sad looking colors that are used in the game.
looking from a kids point of view it kinda was an dark and eerie scenery the gamer saw.
actually i really doubt it was intended by the programmers to give that game that kind of atmosphere.
well maybe it was just my interpretation of the game lol ^_^
anyway even though i didnt like the game play i kept playing it.
i gues it had something to do with attraction and repulsion.
ohh well at that time i was still a little kid ^_^ but its still funny to think back at those times hehe ^_^
recently i talked with a friend of mine and during that time we where playing some old msx games.
we also played elidon and it was funny he told me he had the same interpretation about that game when he was little.

so even though i didnt like the game itself, the game still has an place in my favourites list. especially because a lot of childhood memories are attached to that Ugly and obscure game...

Yeah Elidon! And what about Starquake. Kept playing that game. Very big. Even had decent gameplay for that time. Crusader was great also. It took me about a week before I found out that you had to jump on the little horse to advance to the next level. Yeah, those were the days... No polygons or big 3D environments. Just 32 kb games!

Talking about obscure games, one has come to my mind....Timetrax. Pretty good looking and with some well done tunes; but, what's the objective of the game?. I never managed to fully understand the gameplay...:P
