- June 30th, 1997 - Move to own webserver
- August 2nd, 1997 - Konami announce Metal Gear Solid; many MSX fans got reminded of their old beloved MSX computer. In a way, this release initiated the 'internet MSX revival'
- August 2nd, 1997 - Konami Antiques for PSX; helped in getting MSX and its great Konami games back on the maps as well
- November 1st, 1997 - MSX World Expo announced - For this MSX fair in Japan, Mr. Yokoi of the Japanese MSX group Frontline - organization of the fair - invited Kazuhiko Nishi to visit the fair. This directly lead to the start of the MSX Revival and Mr. Yokoi's - now D4 Enterprise - involvement in it.
2000 - 2002; The 'ASP' years
- May 17th, 2000 - MSX Resource Center re-launched; Coded entirely from scratch in ASP, the MSX Resource Center modernized with user-generated content (links, submit news, post reactions)
- June 9th, 2000 - First announcement of a new MSX computer; Although there were speculations, the FPGA approach and ESE's role in the development eventually lead to the One Chip MSX
- June 20th, 2000 - MRC MILESTONE: 100 members
- August 16th, 2000 - MSX DenYu Land announced; in a lecture of Kazuhiko Nishi, the official MSX emulator MSXPLAYer was announced
- September 27th, 2000 - MSX Resource Center forum opened; with a very slow start and a couple of re-launches, it finally became the most active MSX forum on the web
- November 12th, 2000 - MRC MILESTONE: 100,000 visits
- March 31st, 2001 - Nishi's visit to 2001 announced; One Chip MSX's first mention on msx.org
- April 5th, 2001 - MRC MILESTONE: 500 members
- April 22nd, 2001 - Report of Nishi's lecture to Tilburg 2001; the publication - and the big news on the MSX revival - boosted visits to the MRC significantly
- September 25th, 2001 - MSXPLAYer beta preview; removed several days after publication, MRC had managed to get their hands on a very alpha beta version of the emulator. Again a huge peak in our visitor count and quite a bit of downtime because our server could not cope with it.
- December 15th, 2001 Bombaman promo, support on MSX fairs, future Team Bomba releases and reactions to it finally lead to the release of this great MSX game
- December 19th, 2001 - The first release of Meridian; although a final has still not been released, a lot of features were implemented after requests on the MRC
- February 3rd, 2002 - ZICA announced; showing MSX can go internet/IRC as well
- March 7th, 2002 - CIEL3++ - Super MSX announced; unfortunately this project seems to have stalled, but who knows...
