For those n00bs to create their own wavekit, feel free to use mine: www.jorito.net/files/ITALO.MWK.
You'll need 640kB sampleram in your moonsound to use it, and yes, I know some samples could/should have been better ;)
Oh, and wolf has a good point about not making a complete wavekit. I mean... what samples should be in there? How big should the kit be? (I can imagine 640kB is too much for most people).
Anyways, Latok, you lazy bum, grab that wavekit of mine if you're too lazy to make a kit yourself! Be warned, we now _do_ expect you to create an entry for the contest ;)
Thank you, Jorito. Already downloaded it
Wolf, I agree back in the old days every tune sounded the same because we all used the default sounds. People DID make tunez though. Having a default instrument set is easy and makes one take the first steps to Compose Stardom
In the old days ppl were also pretty much working in their own. These days there's internet and forums like MRC with ppl to give advice and help.
Of course, of course. I just wanted to point out that to me, it seems like you have to lure people with gold, beer, women and wavekits in order to get some Italo entries.....That's all.
There are not really alternatives, that's the point. With 10MB worth o' samples in this v1.0 kit, there's no way I can setup a wavekit that will suit everyone. One of the reasons there are multisamples is that there are suitable samples for each range in which a lead, pad or bass takes place. That's all personal taste. It's also the consequence of using samples, in the old FM days, these instruments always sounded ok, no matter the frequency.
Don't misunderstand me, I am VERY happy with this v1.0 kit. Great job! I only tried to calculate your audience ^_^
Awesome range, by the way. Every 5 minutes
not that it HAS to be done with moonsound anyway...
fm-pac or musicmod should work fine too,
impact did everything with those 2, so...
....so people could use an Impact samplekit for a cool Soundtracker/Moonblaster 1.4 Italo tune, yes ^_^
