Hi Guys and Girls,
Well its been a while. about 30 years
The Sony Hit-Bit MSX 1 was and is my only MSX. Its been stored in its original box these past 30 years. Same one I had when i was a kid. I got it out tonight for the first time and got it all plugged in. It all works even the tape recorder, well until the belt started to slip. I've new belts coming home soon but in the meantime I need to know what i need to make my old 8 bit wonder into a modern retro computer that i can use. I would love to track down a Sony FDD for it and maybe use the cartridge slot for something like an SD card reader. I have a LOAD of games on tape, Most of which i think will still work so I'm wondering what i should do with them ! Also I'm curious and interested in getting into programming for the MSX. Only basic to begin with so I'm wondering what tools / software do i need to list the games i have on cassette ? There must be some way to load a game and then list the program ? Anyway that's a lot of questions but I'm 30 years behind so please help or give me a link to where i can update my knowledge. Thanks.
