So glad I got one too! It sounds great (I have a mixer now thanks to @Pencioner). I was using my CX7 to mix before that (which sounds great but there is always some noise from data transfers on the MSX)... When using GR8NET's PSG with the SFG OPM to play OPN/OPNA tracks it is hard to stay away from my MSX (well even harder than it has been).

@sdsnatcher73, you are so right! Great to hear the crystal clear sound of the SFG and PSG (GR8NET with latest firmware indeed) on those tracks!

@Tristan, Thanks for this amazing product! Now my original Yamaha SFG-05 and UCN-01 can retire, because this is much more convenient!

BTW, Does somebody have a nice design for a cartridge sticker? Thanks in advance!

http://deflemask.com you can export to vgm and play it in Vgmplay For MSX. I have a vid of it on my YouTube channel

Alternatively you can use Bamboo Tracker, it’s for OPNA so 6 instead of 8 FM channels, but you also get to use the PSG. Although it needs to do some translation which isn’t absolutely perfect and not all SFG features are available and vice versa, in principle the FM instrument definitions are the same, and you can play it on the SFG through VGMPlay.

OPNA/OPNB/OPN2 - not fully compatible btw

Thanks. I think Deflemask should be the one to go for then.
Playing some demo tunes. The samples surprised me (yes, i'm totally new to this chip), so I saved the tune as vgm and loaded it on my msx, where I expected the samples not to be audible. And indeed... It needs Sega PCM... What's that?

Sorry for kinda hijacking the thread, but then again, if some things are known, maybe more people want one (lame excuse, so sorry again )

YM2151 is often used in arcadeboards in combination with some sega pcm chip. I guess thats why it is a "setup" in deflemask.

But yeah a lot of great tunes for deflemask, some are FUCKING amazing. B-)
