I have a question:
1.)
You certainly programmed - drew - designed the GAL structure. I need your help. What program (also a graphic mode - to view the designed structure)? Such according to you the most transparent (simple, easy and understandable). I want to compare the programmed GAL (it is not protected and I can rip the content) and rearrange the inputs and outputs and possibly add something to the free pins.
I have a programmer (wellon).
2.)
The second topic is a matter of reading and programming Epromów type 2708 and the dead computer. My programmer does not overwhelm 2708. So what can I bite (apart from buying a second programmer) does anyone of you have one that overwhelms 2708. Or maybe in a "simple" way you can woo LPT to read or program .... or something in this direction Wink

1) WinCUPL, PALASM
AFAIK these programs work by text input, no graphic mode.
Although it seems it's possible to use some $$$ PCB design software to generate the equations and then feed them to WinCUPL.

2) Use a 2716 instead?

Take a look at the free program Digital, it seems to do some of the things (Graphic editing/GAL creation) you were looking for.

Did anyone try the program mentioned above (Digital)? Just read the spec and sounded good, it wasn't clear if vhdl implemented stuff also can be converted to jed or not. (Found a tool that does that but is super expensive).

For anyone else that want to program for gal chips (for free), WinCUPL (some issues on modern windows) and PALASM (need dosbox) are the choices today. Palasm looks nice for just doing just equations but for me, wincupl was easier to write more complex stuff (using bit field and table).
