Indeed, it would be awesome ! Even if only for MSX1, it is a classic game that works really good inside MSX limitations, I never understood why there wasn't another games in the same style.

If I'm wrong and there are hero clones available to MSX or other platforms, if anyone is familiar with a Hero clone available, please tell me so I can give check it out.

As far as I know, only the one (more or less) in Lazy Jones.

Hello! I'm the author of heroed, H.E.R.O. is one of my all times favourite games, but unfortunately there are not any sequels. That's the reason why I decided to create an editor, because I'd love to play new levels

I'm adding new features, please check the last release here:

Welcome to MRC ! This is a great project, and you can be sure there are a lot of H.E.R.O. fans out there (I'm one of them).

Can you tell us what are your future plans to this editor?

The cool thing is, since Hero is a 16 kb game, it can be "upgraded" to 32 kb and the extra 16 kb be used for new levels, improving sprites and graphics, and other stuff. :)

Great work on the editor. Will try to make levels with it for the game a bit later. Will make a page for it to share the levels on http://msxtranslations.com/userlevels and linking to your editor if that is ok.

I've been messing around with the levels colors, and I will try to include this option in the editor.

I was thinking about the extra 16 kb, maybe for new types of enemies... the problem is that I'm not an assembler programmer, it has been a hell of disassembling and debugging for me ...so I don't think that can do anything beyond modifying the level data. I'm not very interested in altering the original graphics, for me they have a lot of charm.

Qarlos, my virus scanner gave a message the exe file contained a pattern of HEUR/APC (cloud). Might it have gotten infected?

HEUR probably mean hueristic, and heuristic (by nature) have many false positives btw.
