on the photograph there is a red wire which arrives in the middle of the chip next to the eprom 27c512 which is not connected
Bengalack: What's the story on that particular wire then? It's either loose, or directly connects into the chip!
It's just a hard bend (see arrow). X's indicate start and stop for the wire.

Still, I'm quite sure the machine can be repaired. Perhaps the hardware guys here can ask some more good questions for things to try.
If you intend to replace : there were not so many MSX2s released in Western Europe (which means: native 220V input, SCART/composite output), which makes selection a lot easier.
It really boils down to : Philips NMS family, Sony HB-X<5/7/9>s and some Fenner-Toshiba-Mitsubishi oddities (just sped up your lookup here ;) ).
