Too good to be true... probably one of those Windows games with MSX graphics.
The music also sounds like MP3 rather than the sounds we can have on MSX using PSG/FM/etc.
Hmmm yeah could be true. A game "for MSX" but they actually mention Windows on the bottom of the page. Strange.

The game runs on PC in MSX emulated environment that is encrypted. You can subscribe to their service and get games for cheaper or free. I think it's $5 a month. They have some rare versions of games and some that was never released before.
It wants to be msx but it definetly isn't. The sprites magnify. The amount of copies done exceed the vdp's bandwith by far and the sound requires a special non exsistent cartridge that can do pcm with buffer. I do like these wannabe retro games. This is ment as a positive remark. Think about i wanna be the guy for example. It has that 8bit feel to it but it is windows. Love that game.
Dont like the sounds of this one though. Annoying.
Well, I am playing it on MSX... So the sprites magnify and VDP does not exceed the bandwidth... You are totally wrong!
There are 2 versions - regular and SPECIAL EDITION... And both work on MSX.
Looks really cool! Impressive use of the tile mode. And only 15 bucks.
If I buy it, can I extract a ROM to play on real MSX? I don’t really know how that EGG stuff works…

It is encrypted, but it is should be possible to do it. It may have some Easter eggs too... It is Project EGG after all...
You played this on a real msx? I am confused. On a emulator or a real machine? I have studied the videos further and it looks like they are using a tile mode. Tons of tilecopies. Msx well utilised.
Screen2/4 the status bars are tiles and the big lasers and explosions too. 2 colors per line well crafted. The tiles look very small though but its hard to see. Can't zoom the pictures and stop the videos. The game runs so fast that any imperfection would be hidden. Magnification is done using copies of tiles. The psg sounds very pcmish though. I wonder what emulator they are using to make this possible.
Here you can see it running on an (FPGA) MSX:

Magnified sprites: yeah MSX1 VDP has a flag for global 2*zoom on sprites.
Weird sound: probably high frequencies on envelope generator to create saw-wave sounds.
VDP bandwidth: you can write the whole nametable during vblank, plus sprite attributes
