I would lie if I didn't agree that SS is way more advanced.
The reason I like MG better is indeed the faster gameplay. I also dig the music more, though it's only like 4 songs.

I always thought that MG2 became too difficult/large-scale too soon. MG1 has this too, a bit, but less than MG2. Note that both games didn't really appeal to me.
