Thanks, we'll try to emulate your situation. In the mean time, you might try to switch slots and/or flash nowindDos1.rom in your Nowind Interface.
How many drives are installed in your situation? I'm not sure what happens when there are too many drives. You could use the -c switch (one internal drive less) and not use -j to disable Nowind's romdrive.
