That's great, RyJuZo!
If we can't find an MSX-minded drummer, I could browse my contacts and see if one of them is willing to play along for a cheapo fee.
I could even look for a sound guy. That is... if wolfie_ here don't wanna.
nah. I estimate I'll be busy enough with other things that day..
Let's not use the venue's PA system again. It wasn't really very successful last time.

ahh c'mon ...we'd probably just play for an hour and a half tops...(depending on the "we want more" factor ofcourse ...hehe)
plenty of time left for the other things...

hey manuel ...could you arrange some tables to put the mixer/pa etc onto...?
Tables are not a problem. Bring your power cables with extenders, though!
For a venue that small with a hand full of ppl and a "band" playing not-so-hard music I wouldn't even bother micing up the drumkit. Perhaps 2 overheads or a kick mic.
Same for bass and/or guitar. Tho it's ez to put up a mic on that.
Yer gonna need some (floor) monitors, esp for the Keys. I'd advise to get a few "active" monitors.
Too bad I ain't goin else I could bring my gear and experience (studio owner, livemusic mixer here
)
I also happen to be a drummer and percussionist, bass and guitar player. I could even bring my sax..
but again, I'm not gonna attend. Just bought a new house which consumes all my spare time fixing the darn place!
we'll probably have to spend ca$h on rent of a decent PA system anyway.
The venue has a PA systemAsk them to "define" their PA....
OMG wolf_, are you openly soliciting for pr0n?
@ ro: Thanks for the advice bro; I do hope you'll change your mind.
