Who will try it on his yellowed Sony? (Or other machine, of course...)

This even made the frontpage of Slashdot yesterday: hardware.slashdot.org/hardware/09/03/02/2036235.shtml
Perhaps there's an opening for a commercial product here? :D

(yes I know the recipe is open for anyone to use, but that doesn't mean you couldn't make it in commercial quantities and sell it...)

Too bad... only have a HB-F9P but is hardly yellowed. Had a Sony F700 that would warrant the treatment, but sold that a while ago. Still have a VIC-20 that's pretty yellowed, but I couldn't care less... Practically all my other machines are how I like them: black. One reason being that black doesn't turn yellow... ;)

BTW: I think a lot of those external NMS8250/55/80 keyboards could profit from this - the keys on there are often an ugly, brownish shade of grey.

Awaiting a tip of repairbas. He makes the white stuff lose the yellow as well.
If that works, I won't try this.
I'd like to use a product that does the job without mixing the thing myself.

Did someone already unyellowed some computers with success?
It will not damage the computer case?
And has it to dry in the sunlight for some hours?
I would like to "unyellow" the keys of my FS-A1GT, but I'm very carefull with that.
Maybe someone has an "user guide" how to do so?
I read something about "Retrobright", but I'm not familiair with this.

Hi OeiOeiVogeltje,

I tried it with success. See the following thread for some pictures of it. http://www.msx.org/forum/msx-talk/hardware/cleaning-keys

The ingredients were a it difficult to find, but not that difficult. I can send you an email where to find the ingredients in the netherlands.
