I'm looking to purchase a 4 Meg RAM cart, either Jipe's or another one, whatever someone has. I have the plans for Jipe's, but I don't have my personal PCB production facilities completed yet, and I'm not prepared to do a run of boards (unless there is interest) so I'm looking to buy one. Let me know how much you want including shipping to western canada.

Visit this page...

www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Tower/7418/padial/page6.htm

The table contains all the Leonardo Padial's hardware list (Spanish, just use Google to translate) and below you can find the steps to follow (English).

Thanks man, I've sent him an email. There's only one problem, bank transfer from Canada to EU is prohibitively expensive, so I asked him if I could instead use western union or paypal. We'll see what he says. If he won't accept it, is there someone on this forum who will be willing to act as an intermediate? You buy from him, then I pay you for the item, the shipping cost from him to you, and the shipping cost from you to me. Is anyone willing to do that? If you are, email me at conrad (dot) russo (at) gmail (dot) com, but don't do it yet, cause I want to wait to see if he'll let me do it direct first. Thanks guys!

Update: Leonardo got back to me quickly and will let me pay by paypal, so I will be ordering one shortly. I'm so amazed and proud at how much hardware is available for the MSX these days. As someone who uses just about every classic computer, I can easily say that the MSX has probably the most new hardware available for it these days. The only classic computer that might come close to having the same amount of new hardware available for it is the Atari 8-bit systems, and even then I think the MSX has more.

Oh cool, I have some relatives around you. I live out in Vancouver myself. It seems like you can count on one hand all the Canadian classic computer enthusiasts. I'm setting up an online computer museum, and I've gotten so many donations of rare classic computers, people just don't seem to care about them, they just want to get them out of their house. One guy just dropped off a flatdeck truck full of Sun and HP workstations and Commodore 64 stuff at my house a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I'm glad there are not many classic computer guys in my neck of the woods. Tongue

There's one thing that I envy from you, canadian collectors, you've piles of Radio Shack/Tandy machines!. I'm also a collector and I've been behind a TRS80 Model I since the beggining of time and I've never found a working one...Tongue
Anyway, back in topic, there's not only a lot of new hardware, the MSX computers by themselves are very stylish and extremely collectables. There's a design for every taste out there, it's near of impossible to simply collect ALL the models that where launched around the world oO
