How i can to start the MSXTurboR emulation with MSXDOS 2.x?

It seems that i need to start the emulation with a Sunrise IDE (for example) in the Slot1. In other way .. i only can start with MSXDOS 1.x.
With MSX2+ ... i start inside of MSXDOS 2.20 (because the MSXDOS in the folder is this one)
With MSXTR ... i start inside of MSXDOS 1.3 .. why?

just required a floppy with MSXDOS2.30 or 2.31 but formated with the DOS2

copy the IDE files on this floppy and restart

the SUNRISE IDE floppy if DOS1 formated only and TURBO-R detect it

Just a recomendation for the BlueMSX team .. could you specify what kind of Boot the user wants when you use the "Insert Folder" option?
Maybe this option exists currently?

Thank you!

Dunno about blueMSX, but this is the setting in openMSX: http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/commands.html#bootsector
I'm sure someone can help you with this for blueMSX. Just in case all else fails, you know how to handle this in openMSX now ;-)

And .. how i can to use a "folder disk emulation" as a harddrive emulation? with OpenMSX? with BlueMSX?
i need to work with something more big than a 720Kb Disk.

Thank you in advance! Smile

the folder disk is not obligatory

you can mount a hard disk in emulator
is the same way with a real MSX
insert a IDE or SCSI and use same utility with a real to make partition

Yes, you are right but in BLUEMSX the only possiblity is to use a DSK image as harddrive .. could it be possible to use a folder?

Me too, I don't understand $#%@ of it... Sad
http://www.msx.org/Starship-Rendezvous-HD-version-and-TurboFix.newspost5331.html

That's why I asked for a DirAsDsk also for harddisk feature, on the BlueMSX forums. That would make things a lot easier for the emulator users. :)

In openMSX this is also not supported. But it does support creating a harddisk image and importing a whole directory onto it. For that see http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/diskmanipulator.html
It's a tad complicated but the examples should help.
