I would love to help testing on my tR, but the PSU on the only computer I have with disk drive, died Crying
(And it was brand new, less than 4 months, sight)

So until I receive a USB drive I ordered together with the joystick from DX, I'm only on emulators Sad

Why don't you also order a CF card from DX? Smile

And well... Until then you CAN test using emulators. It's not the ideal option, but at least there will be more people betatesting it.

One suggestion for enhanced version: Valis II. I think a R800 HDD version would be cool. I think this game has some defects (speed is one) but a enhanced version can give to us a cool game. The game has very good graphics, good music and animated scenes.

Excellent suggestion, and it's already on my TODO list. I just don't know when I'll be able to tackle it. Smile

About the intro errors: Please check the msg I just answered to Vampier.

CANCEL ERROR REPORTS! It's not your fault, it's a bug in openMSX disk import routine or IDE emulation.

Hummm. The IDE emulation works fine for me, so probably it's the disk import routine.

Try this workaround:

1) Import only the LZH file to your HD image
2) Decompress the LZH inside the MSX emulation using PMEXT
Note = The command is: pmext file.lzh a:

Probably only one file will have a smaller chance to get corrupted and if it gets corrupted PMEXT will detect this and alert you.

the reason why I said you can cancel it is because it works perfect now. I split your archive up in 2 virtual disk (dir as disk) and imported is through there. I will recheck and file a bug report for openMSX. Hannibal

Demo works
Game works / Practice stage works
End works

LOL!

Tested in real Turbo R GT with SD 2.2 (sinfox) and level 5 works. Intro doesn't.

Is there anything against using CALL 0F37Dh instead of CALL 0005h under the MSX-DOS 1 & 2?

- Advantages?
- Disadvantages?

It looks like 0F37Dh uses less system area and so games like Playball-3 and Firehawk could run directly on MSX-DOS 2.3x. But I'm not sure if this is really true and if doing so will cause any trouble or instabilities on the MSX-DOS, since 0F37Dh is supposed to be used under the MSX-BASIC.

SD you need to use 0x0005 according to Bifi, join #msxdev @ irc.rizon.net to ask him why.

Anyway: he was also curious if you found the debug mode (if @ all possible)

I'll take his word. I can imagine why: since the BASIC only uses the frames 2 and 3, the F37Dh probably will not handle the frame-1 correctly because this would need helper routines that are not installed.

Unfortunately, yes! And I don't know how I did it and now I just can't turn the darn thing off. Sad
If doesn't matter if you turn the MSX off. It will be activated again.
