I had my v1 Gfx9000 upgraded to Video9000 which allows high quality superimposing and video digitization. Still, it's cheaper to get a 2nd monitor or a SCART-switch Smile

The guy who sold it to me, told me that he had it altered for video stuff too.
I only see the one monitor connector thou, don't know how it should look with the adaptation ?

Anyway, I probably won't use the video9000 stuff anyway, even if it's available Smile
Wouldn't knwo how anyway Smile

A Video9000 doesn't fit in a normal cartridgebox, because it's an extra board that's fitted on the normal board.
IIRC, it should have a monitor output (D-SUB), S-Video input, and a few knobs.

Anyway, I probably won't use the video9000 stuff anyway, even if it's available Smile

In the manual downloadable from http://www.msx.ch are clear and simple BASIC examples of how to use the video features.

Ok, thanks. I think I already downloaded the manual.
Also WiOS, hope it will run on my NMS-8250 :) Probably not enough RAM :)

Then the seller must have lied, or I misunderstood what he meant by it :)
But for the price of 50 euro you won't hear me complain :)
I see the price for a new GFX9000 is a lot more.

I've got a g9000 myself, but I've NEVER used it because of the lack of software.
You haven't checked out the Gfx9000 parts in Calculus? Or used it for some picture viewing? Or checked out Operation Banshee on TNI Windows '95? Too bad...
The upcoming GEM will support Gfx9000, so it's time to dust off that thingy! :)

Aslo on my homepage you can find some stuff for the gfx9000, all tools and program's do require DOS2.xx.

A really nice game for the Gfx9000 is Battle Bomber. always nice to blow up some housemates.

Btw: If got quite some gfx9000 goodies on my HDD that is not downloadable anyware on the net. I'll check if I can put some of that stuff online (I didn't create most of It)

If the gfx9990 is version 1 and you use a PH 8250 then you must have software in rom
witch is placed in the musicmodule, you need 2 monitors, start the msx as usual in basic,
then you start up with call v9990,back to the normal mode = Call V9938.
If you can use a turbo r then wil it work with software on dsk.
Maybe there is an option to put the romsoftware somewhere in the memory, but how to do this,I don't know.

Hehe, a late reply Smile
I was already able to run the accompanying picture viewer using an MSX-DOS2 cartridge...
But I haven't tried the CALL yet, so thank you, I'll try it ASAP.
