I know this problem... At least in earlier versions when you used mouse the cursor jumped everywhere when you were recording... I think this problem is solved.

One thing that you might want to know is that BlueMSX also does not record changes to disk... If you for example start recording, load savegame from disk, play a bit further and save on top of the previous entry and then render a video, it will load the new saved game in start of the video!

You know, I'm not completely stupid (I can tie my own shoelaces, for instance), but neither am I a computer genius. Smile

So why does openMSX not work?

All it does is opening two windows:

* one DOS Box like (is it?) thing, stating:
info: Using default machine: C-BIOS_MSX2+
warning: DI; HALT detected, mhich means a hang. You can just as well reset the MSX now...

* one appearing to be the emulator itself, saying it is running C-BIOS and that I should start with a ROM

Yes, I have put all the system ROMs in the share/machines directory.

And I can open a ROM with openMSX, and then it opens with C-BIOS, but that's all.
I can't find the menu, or anything. oO Is there some kind of a menu?

How do I enter this "command line" (?!) things, and what is that?
http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/user.html#starting
...the DOS Box thing won't let me enter things.

And the screen is 'stripy'; am I running the wrong version?

I'm totally in the dark. :-?

@ NYYRIKKI:
Well, it happens during gameplay; no disk access taking place, no mouse used.

I'm using the latest blueMSX version (I think) and it seems to happen mainly with Turbo R configuration.

...so any time I'd, for instance, want to make a screenshot, I must hit F10 then type "screenshot" ? Question

There's a button for that in Catapult.
