Thanks FiXato, unfortunately doesn't work. Sad

Note: not using the newest version here, since my computer can not handle it.

It doesn't work as in it gives an error, or as in it doesn't do what you expect it to do?

toggle disablesprites

won't give an error in the latest version of openMSX (0.8.0). But it also won't do what you expect. It's part of a Tcl script BiFi implemented to disable sprites for one frame, take a screenshot and re-enable sprites.

The script disables sprites by writing to VDP register 8, so this really changes the MSX behaviour. And it also won't work in all cases, for example when the MSX itself re-enables sprites by writing to VDP register 8. (BiFi's script is a bit more robust/complex than I described here).

We have plans to implement 'disable sprites' as a native openMSX feature in the future. But if you need it right now, you can already get almost the same effect via some scripting. Just ask if you're interested.

And wouter_ made the plans come true, as he just implemented this Smile

He did? Great! Smile

There's some other things I'd like to 'wish for' regarding openMSX, but I cannot check the 0.8.0 (will try later and pray for my cpuWink), only the one before that.
It's regarding sound.

Why can't you check 0.8.0?? Not sure what you mean with the CPU, but 0.8.0 is lighter than 0.7.2, it's more optimized.

It just stutters and crackles and stuff. With 0.7.2, I don't have this problem.
I'll surely try again later.

DemonSeed, can you verify that both have the same settings for 'samples' and 'sound_driver'? (See http://openmsx.sourceforge.net/manual/faq.html#soundproblems )
