Then, ro put all of Oracle online a short while ago and the difference between MBM and Oracle is like the difference between a Citroen 2CV and a brand new BMW.

Oh, bad example for me.... as I will never touch bmw but will gladly drive Citroen 2CVs and Dyane 4s. Wink

Oracle has no replayer.... and ARTRAG, I'm sure you can Google "Oracle MSX".

It is called Oracle. This program is technically much better than Moonblaster, since it really is able to squeeze everything out of the MSX-Music and MSX-Audio chips! The only problem is that it is so complex that the replayer is not very fast, which makes it difficult to use the music created in Oracle in other software

Oracle is a one way piece of software. As you can read above. 1. There is no replayer 2.Utterly slowCryingCraps. Are we really stuck at MBM level then for MSX-Music/MSX-Audio music in games & demos? That's sad Sad

Actually I'd really like to see something PT3-like for MSX-Music (don't even need Audio Wink)

PSG limited is a bit of an understatement: I simply ripped all the PSG routines from the replayer since I didn't need them Smile
But the original MBM replayer sources should be online somewhere, too.

Sorry, I could have selected my output a bit better... How ever any ideas, where to get the original routines would be helpfull for lot of people. I've been searching them for years...

Right.

-> MoonBlaster is a nice program (trackerstyle) with a free replayer. It's descent in speed. Plays MSX MUSIC and AUDIO (you can switch off any)
The program itself, however, is not free (AFAIK!). Sunrise is the dealer. Rob, could you tell us more?
I've got a enhanced version of the replayer (to work with the MIDAS kernel), I'll see if I still have the ORIGINAL replayer. I'm sure I do...

-> SME, by Xelasoft, is another musicprogram with great features. It's not trackerstyled.

-> Protools, by tyfoonsoft, is a great tracker. Dunno if it's free. For MSX MUSIC it's one of the best IMHO.

-> Oracle, by Fuzzy Logic, is public domain. It has lots of features but the tracker is kinda different than the average tracker. the replay is free, but has not been released (yet) since it's too complicated concerning memory use (it runs on the MIDAS kernel). Still on my to-do list. The replayer CAN be heavey when using all 32 channels at once Wink But a 7 channel (6 music, 1 drum) piece of music works like a charm. Supports MSXMUSIC, AUDIO and PSG.
www.thefuzz.nl/msx : check the downloads...

-> PT3, PSG only tracker. To be hones, my personal favorite. I just LOOOOOVE them PSG tunes.

Protools ^____^

You probably meant:

We are very interested in the original one. Could you share it with us somehow? Smile

Aw mèn.

I thought you meant you had an ASM-suitable replayer for Moonblaster 1.4 files. Sad

...and I didn't mean to sound threatening. Wink
