Yes, and at least in SRAM disk only part of sector is loaded when accessing FAT sectors. As I think English version is about same size as Japanese, you can propably simply ignore these details.

Is there anything you don't know ? ;-)
But I think you are right, the English version should be about the same size.

I just received the english version from Benoît. However it is an older version (1.00) as the one in the rom (v1.20).
So I'm not sure if I should put this version in the bios patch.

Hi!

Please, does anyone still have the International TurboR ROM patch, or any info about this? All links are broken...
I would very much like to have a look at this, and possibly use it in WebMSX.

Thanks

Hello. Long time no see. I am using WebMSX well. You were looking for a file. I'll help you. Go to the address below. God bless you.

I'll give a tip as well...

Arjen Zeilemaker has disassembled all MSX BIOS ROMs including MSX tR, so if you download them from here and edit localization options in "msx.inc" you can build any language version of the ROM you need.

Errr... got some problems. How can I build from those sources?
Where to find the required M80 and L80 utilities? Are there any Windows or MSDOS equivalents?
I found only CP/M versions.... :-(

Thanks!

In the upcoming openMSX 0.5.1 you can this to your XML to use the patch whilst keeping the original ROM:

  <PanasonicRom id="Firmware ROM">
    <rom>

      <filename>roms/fs-a1gt_firmware.rom</filename>
      <patches>
        <ips>fs-a1gt_firmware.ips</ips>
      </patches>
    </rom>
  </PanasonicRom>

And what about MSXTR.ROM and MSXTREXT.ROM? Those files are not mentioned in the xml file?

Yes, indeed the M80 and L80 are CP/M files... You can run them under MSX-DOS if you wish, but maybe compiling on MSX emulator is not the most convenient way...

Earlier I used to use 22nice to solve this problem, but it does not seem to run on my 64bit Windows anymore... Now I've ripped the CPM32.EXE (by K.Murakami) from Nextor source package, but I'm sure it has official page somewhere as well.

Practically this means that you have to add CPM32 in front of every M80 and L80 command in the make file...

If you are like me, want to do things hard & make the makefile to run AS IS without modifications then you need to install your self an "8bit subsystem" Smile

Practically it goes something like this:
- Copy CPM32.EXE, M80, L80 & other CP/M tools to C:\Apps\CPM\
- Rename the CP/M *.COM files to *.CPM
- Open command prompt in Admin mode and do something like:
ftype CPM32.cpm="C:\Apps\CPM\CPM32.EXE" "%1" %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9
assoc .cpm=CPM32.cpm
set path=%path%;C:\Apps\CPM\
set pathext=%pathext%;.CPM

Now the make file should work and you can run CP/M programs also from desktop by double clicking them.

Indeed... In openMSX all of the ROMs (BIOS, EXTROM, disk ROM, MSX-MUSIC, KANJI BASIC, firmware etc) are inside that one big fs-a1gt_firmware.rom ... In BlueMSX they are separate files IIRC. If you want to replace them in openMSX, you need to use HEX-editor to do that.

Ps. I'm really anxious to see MSX tR support in WebMSX. I'm more than happy to see that you are planning to implement this!
