Because of this I am afraid, that this will really be difficult. Maybe the only hope is, that Sunrise decides to built another batch of their slotexpander.
You could also try to ask RepairBas, if he would upgrade your Ram internally. I bought a 8280 from him with 2MB internal Ram.
@iamweasel2: Any news from Brazil?
My flight dates changed: I will be there from the 11-15.7. now, so the whole next weekend
In any case I am already looking forward to visit your big country, have never been there before.
I sent a message in MSXBR-L about the changes in your flight. Last time I checked, people were thinking about a barbecue, but I don't know what (if anything) was decided. Unfortunately I won't be able to meet you, otherwise I would take care of everything related to the barbecue myself (I love to be in charge of things like that).
btw, can you give more information about the company, date and the arrival time of your flight?
@iamweasel2: The company is called Matera and is located in Campinas. I will arrive this wednesday evening and leave sunday evening. As I have to work at thursday and friday, it would be cool to meet friday evening/night or saturday. I really don't know how easy it is to travel between Campinas and Sao Paulo (btw, I have never been in a 20million city before
)
Btw, as this is quite offtopic, it would be better, if we continue per email. My one is:
jmika at prodatron dot net
Would be very cool to meet MSX people in Brazil, and I could bring my Sunrise IDE + MP3MSX card
So if this would be possible, please write to my email address.
I doubt there's an autobahn going through the mountains where you can m33pm33p
@Wolf: Of course they have "autoban" in Brazil!
(but they forgot the "H" )

:RNFF:
As this comes quite late (received the full program yesterday), I am not sure, if it makes sense to post it in the MRCs' news section, so better I put it as a note here: This weekend the
RetroEuskal 2007
( http://www.retroeuskal.org/en/ ), takes place again from the 20.-23.7.2007 in Bilbao, Spain. It is the 8bit computer sub division of the very big demo party Euskal Encounter 15 ( http://www.euskalencounter.org/en/ ). Most of the participants are from the Spectrum, the CPC and the MSX.
I will take part there and present again some new SymbOS stuff in the museum and at saturday during two different workshops. I also will show Dennis&Yobis new MP3MSX card in action (and tell you the date, when you can order it again :P ).
For those people who still thinking about joining this great event, here is a summary of all activities planned for this year:

Hope to see some of you there!
This year I can't go to the Euskal Party because I work these days
Please, make a lot of photos and videos
I also work these days, but I am waiting for the new SymbOS apps
I just got one of the MP3MSX carts and tested successfully with SymOS. It's totally amazing, great audio quality even without using the cartidge specific audio outputs. Wonderful!
I'm now wondering... Until now I have been using SymbOS for testing pruporse (and I want to continue testing), but I would like to do a "stable" installation on my HD (CF IDE Sunrise). Booting SymbOS MSX is very well documented on the README file, but I can't find any information about installation, so I have the following questions:
- Must SymbOS BIN, COM and DRV files, as well as subdirs (apps folder) be placed on the partition's root or can I put them in a MSX-DOS subdir?
- Until now, with SymbOS I have been able to see the HD partition where I boot from, but not the rest. Is possible to see the others partitions as well as the HD in the slave possition of the IDE channel? (2nd CF slot) In my case, the master HD is composed of several FAT12 partitions, while slave HD has only one big FAT16 partition.
I'm really happy, this hardware-software combination is awesome, my congrats to Yobi, DD and Podatron
