The thread is going doooonw...

I had record some test with videos and i have found something than i dont expect.

50hz

60hz

The video goes too fast, the time looks bad calculated. At 60 hz a lot faster.

Yes, this is a known issue (ops, but not mentioned yet, sorry). Video playback is based on 50Hz clockrate, so I have to add some modifications here. In any case I am not happy with some current timing issues (as an example, play one or two videos at the same time and play minesweeper - I guess you will always have a highscore! Big smile)
Sorry for beeing silent, but this will change soon, as the Amstrad PCW port is hopefully 100% completed now.

Just waiting for some beta-tester-reports. I am looking forward to be fully back on the MSX, soon, and now I am very motivated for GFX9000 support :P

Well, the thread was a little forgiven, not only by you, everybody. But a lot of us are in the mailing list so we are up to date Tongue.

Seeing that screen, I wonder, were there ever MSX'es with real MSX monitors, perhaps with diskdrives in it? I just can't imagine that being handy, one would say the monitor is extra expensive -just imagine the monitor breaks- and if it's gone for repair then you lost your diskdrives for a while!

Could it be possible that the entire computer is build in the monitor? That way when your monitor breaks down, you not only lose your drives when sending it for repairs, but your entire computer...

Good chance, do these machines have an extra TV output somewhere? If not, you're even stuck with this particular monitor quality/size.

And with that: post number "4 LOL!LOL!LOL! "

oh my god... 4000 POSTS .... i am speechless Tongue
Don't really know the reason why manufacturer's of the 80ies did such experiments.Probably it must have been for space(!) reasons.Have computer and screen in one place and only use the keyboard.A kind of large compact computer that you could move at once.

I can't think of something else

And that's in ~5 years time, few months less perhaps. That averages 800 posts a year, or roughly 2.5 post a day, that's not so bad is it? The Dutch FOK! forum has ppl with 50.000 posts, some even have over 200.000 posts, I'd say we're still pretty n00b here. ^_^

50000 ?That's way too much i think.Maybe we should make a list wolf_ has 4000+ and is no 1 poster.who is no 2?

It would be cool to know who posts more here.Maybe we should encourage people to post by making a sort of prize for those that manage to have most posts.Example you have 8000 posts you get as prize a turbo-r for free, you have 4000 you get a sunrise 9990 card for free. 3000 posts you get space manbow 2 for free when it comes out. Hannibal

Ok it's all a joke Big smile

Prodatron how much time did you need in total to port it to the pcw compared to the msx?
